The Dog

You can usually hear the dogs when you’re close.

Price:You must order at least one drink. Drinks are around W6,000.

It’s very similar to the cat cafés that people are familiar with, only dogs! There are dogs that live there, and it’s also BYOD (bring your own dog). We saw both big and small dogs, but they must be/are all vaccinated. You have to order at least one drink – they have a selection of iced teas, smoothies, and basic coffees – around $6. The drinks are ok, but let’s face it, we’re not really there for the beverages. They have snack items like muffins and pretzels, and they have some dog supplies for sale as well. Honestly, I enjoyed it more than the one in Myeongdong.

Food’s fairly priced and portions are big, especially the salad. We liked it.

We tried this place but there was only fish, tofu, rice and side dishes when we went. Don’t think we would give it another shot but good luck to anybody who does!

We had a wonderful time eating lunch today at Chicken Pub. The restaurant was clean and inviting. The staff was friendly and helpful. I asked what menu item was most popular. The response was sweet and spicy chicken. My husband I ordered a half order of the sweet and spicy chicken, and a lunch portion of the fried rice with shrimp and bacon. The food arrived in less than ten minutes – and it was delicious! We were happy with our experience and definitely plan to return again some day.

I checked this place out since everyone has been raving about and sad to say I was disappointed I ordered the sweet & spicy and the soy garlic, and it was mostly batter. there was hardly any chicken in each piece. Also the two flavors tasted the same, I feel like there was really no difference in flavor. it was busy though so I don’t know if they just threw all the orders together or if it was just an off day?… but I’ll def give it another go and hopefully it’s as yummy as all the reviews I’ve read

Today we stopped for an oil change. We brought our own oil and filter and we were charged 20,000 won for the service. While our car was in the air the guys did an inspection. We were shown how our tire had a split on the inside wall and the steel belts were visible. We were pleasantly surprised when we were told that we would have two new tires in about 40 minutes! We are so grateful that they did a good look over of our car. We are supposed to head to 121 tomorrow and our trip could have been disastrous. We are grateful for the terrific service. The staff speaks English. The tire prices were higher than Tire rack; but considering the circumstances, we did not mind.

Shout out for Mobile One. My alternator went out on my truck. I drove it home ordered a new from Autozone and received it in a little over a week. Made an appointment at Mobile One to install it and my battery died just as I cleared Pangseong Bridge. I thought here’s a towing charge, my wife picked up the owner and he showed up with a battery and jumper cables. He set the battery on the passenger seat floor put the battery cable through the side window and under the hood to my dead battery. He then just started my car drove to the garage, I was amazed, good guy speaks English like a native.

He is great. Went to get our oil changed and he told my husband the oil would be cheaper on post, to go and get it and bring it back. He even told us whoever did the last oil change (which was Walmart) messed up something when they changed it last. Then my husband went to get our blinker bulb replaced and thought they took debit as payment, but they don’t. He didn’t have won so the guy told him they were about to close and it was Saturday to just bring it to him on Monday. Super nice guy!

Kitchen Del Vino is a fine dining Italian restaurant in Pyeongtaek. They serve steaks, salad, pasta, pizza, desserts and appetizers. They have a good sized wine list and offer a few cocktails and liqueurs as well. The atmosphere is romantic, the lights are dim, the decor is elegant and the view of downtown Pyeongtaek is interesting. The staff is attentive and cheerful. This is a great spot for a date, but we have also taken our children (age 6 and 2) and the servers were fantastic with them, they even brought out a banana yogurt for them to share while we waited on our food! As long as your children are well behaved in a restaurant you should not be afraid to bring them.

My children split a great fruits and cream pizza which was ₩16,000. It was so huge that my husband and I had some for dessert! It was delicious and came with a honey sauce for dipping.

Korea Frying serves Americanized Korean food in the ville of Camp Humphreys. The food is pretty good, even if it has been tweaked a bit to suit American tastes. The restaurant is casual and the service or both eat in and delivery has always been great, they really want to make sure you are happy. We usually get delivery from Korea Frying and are always happy with our food. Korea frying is also cheap, with prices ranging from W3,000 to W10,000 and free delivery. Some of our favorite foods include the yaki mandu, spicy pork with rice, galbi, bibimbap and kimbap.
